In October of 2007 Warner Bros Records sent Varnish and the always awesome James Minchin to the Palacio de los Deportes, Mexico City, Mexico to document the rock spectacle of My Chemical Romance on the last leg of their Black Parade World Tour. The energy was beyond palpable. There were fireballs on stage, thousands of fans singing every word, and mosh pit barricades being tested to their limit - the MCR guys even hired Mexico City’s best mariachi band for a mid-show performance. Matt Taylor a.k.a. Matt Varnish (or simply “Varnish”) is a Grammy award-winning art director and the proprietor of Varnish Studio Inc.
