GOLD WINNER: GRAPHIS DESIGN ANNUAL 2014 It had been 10 years since Blizzard released Diablo II, and Varnish was honored to be entrusted with shaping the look to this epic Collector’s Edition and contributing to the Diablo III campaign as a whole. This highly anticipated release broke all sorts of records and the Collector’s Edition quickly sold out of all 250,000 units – mostly through pre-orders. As a design piece, it is intricately tailored and diabolically beautiful playing off of good vs evil through wicked-looking but fanciful minutiae.

Matt Taylor a.k.a. Matt Varnish (or simply “Varnish”) is a Grammy award-winning art director and the proprietor of Varnish Studio Inc.
